Dante Goodman is a Rodia character in Wasteland 2.

Background[edit | edit source]

Dante is Rodia's premiere possum breeder, responsible for the primary meat supply in the town. Unfortunately, he has recently come into contact with Beatrice, a particularly unpleasant creature who cheats on him, but has practically ensnared him. This has caused particular unpleasantness for Virgil, his husband of close to 20 years.[1]

Interactions[edit | edit source]

Details[edit | edit source]

  • Dante will ask the Rangers to bring Beatrice back after the cutscene in their house. Successfully convincing Beatrice to come to him will also result in him being further ensnared. The only way to avoid this is to get rid of the leather jerks, which will also release Dante from her spell.
  • Alternatively, you can complete the second quest for Dengler that deals with Chris's tequila recipe, and tell him you're not ready for the next quest. If you tell Dante that Beatrice and Dengler are plotting against him and he should listen outside Dengler's window, then go back to Dengler and ask about his "Offer", accept the quest and return to Dante, then he will believe Beatrice is against him and go back to Virgil. Dengler and his men will not ambush you when you go back to Dante.

  1. Virgil: "You don't know him? He owns a good fifth of the farmland in this here crater. Richest farmer in Limbo Town. And I helped him get there. We were married for twenty years. Ran the farm *together*, lived our lives together, shared a bed together. Then that hussy, Beatrice, came along, sniffin' after his money, and it all went to hell. Dante switched teams and I was out in the cold. Just like that."
