Energy weapons cannot jam or inflict Critical Hits, but deal bonus damage to targets with Conductive Armor.

The weapon alerts enemies (generates noise) in a 20 unit radius.
Generally regarded to be the best energy weapon in the game (and arguably the best weapon in the game period), the Gamma Ray Blaster is the quintessential Wasteland 2 energy weapon. Because it has an armor threshold of 2, almost every enemy that can be encountered after finding the Gamma Ray Blaster will take 2.2x the listed amount of damage of 40-65, which is already extremely high. This means that with the 6 AP 3 round burst the player can routinely expect to do in excess of 300 damage per turn to all but the most lightly armored enemies, making it more powerful per AP than even The Dragoon.

Can be purchased from Ethil Mercaptain for a requisition after turning in Depleted uranium. Depleted uranium is found in a toaster. The toaster is found in the far end of Temple of Titan Missile room.
