Quartz is a location in Wasteland.

Background[edit | edit source]

This is a small town that suffered extensive damage from the nuclear attacks, yet managed to survive. Although located far from the large military targets, this tiny community was affected by earthquakes and low-level nuclear fallout. But in its feisty, small town way, Quartz quickly resumed normal life. About the only trouble Quartz has these days is with bandits.[1]

This game location might correspond to the real-world location of Quartzsite.

Notes[edit | edit source]

  • In the south-east there is a cemetry. You can picklock the gates and retrieve a Broken toaster from one of the Ghouls you have to fight there.
  • These are the inscriptions of the gravestones in the cemetry in the south-east of the town:
    • Ken St. Andre, 4/28/47--4/28/87.
    • Lester More, shot by a .44. No Les, no more.
    • Grave of the Unknown Mutant.
    • Reserved for Finster.
    • In memory of Richard Pickman.
    • R.I.P. Mediocre Phred.
  • There are some manholes in the street you can use to travel faster and safer.
  • There are lots of buildings in the town but most of them are just derelict buildings.
  • You can climb to the roof of Ugly's Hideout by entering the black square between the two buildings at Hubcap Blvd.
