Tinker is the cybernetic leader of the incursion at Damonta in Wasteland 2.

Background[edit | edit source]

Though Tinker looks female, under her hooded cloak lurk completely artificial components, crafted by Matthias' machines as her body. The hard plastic shell and advanced artificial muscles conceal a terrifyingly intelligent creature, capable of performing cybernetic modifications on humans in the field without running the risk of infection or failure. More importantly, Tinker is a fervent believer in the creed of Matthias.

This was the reason she was sent to Damonta, to awaken the legions of military robots sleeping in the airplane graveyard. She snuck into the town, set up an entire defensive network from the scraps of electronics remaining in it, and unleashed the robotic menace on the town. Then, she began building real soldiers for the Citadel: Lexicanum and Binh...

Details[edit | edit source]

  • Tinker will attack the Rangers shortly after they enter her field of view. She will be assisted by a large number of combat robots emerging from the scrap heaps in the hangar.

Quests[edit | edit source]

  • Tinker controls Binh's heart remotely and will detonate it if the Rangers continue to attack her after she drops down to half health. In order to sever the connection, the player has to hack the server in the corner opposite Lexicanum's cage (Computer Science) and then hack the terminal that says "Instigate Shortwave Receiver Short" at least two times, until you receive a message about a low whine that grows higher in pitch until it disappears into silence, and the Rangers get a distinct whiff of burnt plastic and ozone. Then it is safe to engage Tinker.
