Virgil is a Rodia character in Wasteland 2.

Background[ | ]

Virgil is one of the older inhabitants of Rodia and its resident tech specialist. His point of pride is Satan, a possum he owns, who is the largest and most popular of possum stags in the town. However, even he cannot replace Dante Goodman in his heart. 20 years of marriage will do that to a man.[1] Two years after Team Echo's visit, Virgil had since reunited with his husband.[2]

  • Virgil will ask the player to retrieve Satan, who has recently broken out of his cage. He will give them his favourite treats to entice him to follow.
  • Once the jerks are removed (or Dengler clears the Rangers to enter the radio compound), Virgil will repair the radio tower so that the repeater can be hooked up.

  1. Virgil: "You don't know him? He owns a good fifth of the farmland in this here crater. Richest farmer in Limbo Town. And I helped him get there. We were married for twenty years. Ran the farm *together*, lived our lives together, shared a bed together. Then that hussy, Beatrice, came along, sniffin' after his money, and it all went to hell. Dante switched teams and I was out in the cold. Just like that."
  2. No Way Home p.16: "“Oh, that’s from Dante,” Pete said when he saw her examining a pair of worn canvas pants that might have been military issue a hundred years ago, or fashionably similar from a more recent tailor.
“He’s a local farmer. Him and his husband are real fond of the Rangers.”"
