Perks are special upgrades you'll be able to pick for your Rangers when they level up. Perks typically give you better effectiveness at a certain task, or give you a special bonus in specific situations. Unlocking perks requires Perk Points, which you'll earn every 4th level-up. Some Perks have Skill requirements to unlock, or require other Perks.

Perks are separated according to the following legend:

  • Offensive perks: Tied to weapons or general fighting-related perks.
  • Defensive perks: Related to your CON pool (hit points), armor, or avoiding ambushes and the like.
  • Action point perks: Everything that affects the AP pool.
  • Medical perks: Field healing.
  • Inventory perks: Anything tied to the inventory, including loot found.
  • Utility perks: Travel, skill checks, the like.
  • Social perks: Everything else.
